After starting my career in healthcare management at Baylor Scott and White Healthcare in Dallas, TX, I accidentally landed in the world of healthcare recruiting and executive search. As I say, no one purposefully becomes a recruiter, but it always happens for a purpose. Something I found out about myself earlier in my life was that I always loved helping people get jobs. Naturally, I was really good at hunting for opportunities, networking, and connecting people. So when the two worlds of healthcare and recruiting collided one day, a recruiter was born.
My favorite Core Value at Y Scouts is “Consultative Sincerity.” As someone that spends most of his time evangelizing the message and mission of Y Scouts, I do it because I love getting to work with leaders and build teams. As someone that’s made his fair share of bad hires, I know how critical every leadership position is on the team. One bad player on the field can cost the game. That’s why I find joy in getting to understand our clients goals, fears, hopes and dreams. The more I can come alongside our clients as a sincere consultant, the more I can help them put the right leader in the right seat.
