When Y Scouts reached out to me, I was completely unaware of the positive two-generational impact happening just an hour north of my home in Fargo. Through the collaborative efforts of the Community Violence Intervention Center and its partners, lives have been changed by work that will impact generations to come. After spending an entire day with the team, its board and community leaders, and senior team, I found myself feeling very privileged to be considered to lead an organization whose mission to eradicate violence is so powerful. Having experienced violence at a young age, I feel an enormous sense of responsibility to honor the incredible foundation that has developed and I do my very best to expand this vision to reach even more violence survivors. I honestly cannot think of a more meaningful position. I cannot thank you enough for all you and the Y Scouts team have done for me. The move to CVIC is absolutely ideal and I am really looking forward to it! I so appreciate that you encouraged me to apply.
